The Millennium Star is the tenth largest diamond of the world. Weighing 203.04 carats. The Millennium Star is pear shaped and was unearthed in Mbuji Mayi district of Zaire (Democratic Republic of the Congo) in 1990.The precious Millennium Star is owned by The Beers. The rough state weight of The Millennium star was 777 carats. Its real price is still unknown while it has the insurance value of100 million English pounds.The Millennium Star is also counted in the list of most expensive diamonds as well.
9. The Red Cross
The Red Cross is the ninth largest diamond of the world weighing 205.07 carats and is cushion shaped founded in Kimberly mines, South Africa, in 1901.The rough state weight of The Red Cross was 375 carats. One of the unique features in The Red Cross is this that it is extremely visible in the dark because of its glittering and shining surface. The estimated price of The Red Cross is $3 million.
8. The De Beers
The De Beers is the eighth largest diamond of the world Weighing 234.65 carats and was also discovered in Kimberly mines in 1888.The rough state weight of The De Beers was 428.50 carats. It was last bought by the Maharaja of Patiala. Later on it was fitted in to a necklace named as Patiala Necklace. The necklace already contain 2,930 diamonds weighing 962.25 carats.
7. The Jubilee
The Jubilee is the seventh largest diamond of the world Weighing 245.35 carats. The jubilee is colorless having cushion shape and it was founded in 1895 in Jagersfontein Mine in South Africa. The previous name of The Jubilee was Reitz Diamond. The rough size of The Jubilee was 650.80 carats. The Jubilee is now located in Royal Thai Palace and is fixed in the crown along with other expensive and popular jewels.
6. The Centenary
The Centenary is the sixth largest diamond of the world weighing 273.85 carats having almost a heart shape and was founded on 17th July 1986 at the premier mine(it is a underground diamond mine situated in Cullinan, South Africa). The rough shape weight of The Centenary was 599 caratswhich was then reshaped and resized. The Centenary measures 39.90mm × 50.50mm × 24.55 mm.
5. The Spirit of de Grisogono
The Spirit of de Grisogono is the fifth largest diamond of the world weighing 312.24 carats and was found in west Central Africa long time ago. It is covered in 702 white diamonds which are having a weight of 36.69 carats in total. The Spirit of de Grisogono is fitted in a ring and gives an outrageous grace. The original rough weight of The Spirit of de Grisogono was 587 carats which was cut later and resized. Almost every lady in the world has the desire to wear this ring.
4. The Cullinan II
The Cullinan II is the fourth largest diamond of the world weighing 317.40 carats. It is a cushion shaped diamond. Now The Cullinan II is found in the bottom area center front of the Imperial Stat Crown of Great Britain which belongs to Queen Elizabeth II of England. It was cut from the same rough shape diamond of The Cullinan I.Actually there are 9 diamonds found by the name of Cullinan like Cullinan I, II,III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX.
3. The Incomparable
The Incomparable is the third largest diamond of the world weighing 407.48 carats was found in the town of Mbuji Mayi in the Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire) in the 1980s. The Incomparable was found in its rough state weighing 890 carats and then reshaped and resized. The cutting of The Incomparable was done by a the team of Marvin Samuels, who was the co-owner of the stone together with Donald Zale of Zales Jewellers and Louis Glick. It measures 53.90 mm × 35.19 mm × 28.18 mm. Later on this diamond was adjusted in a ring which has a estimated worth of$600,000.
2. The Cullinan I
The Cullinan I is the second largest diamond of the world also known as Star of Africa weights 530.20 carats. Its Pear shape diamond and measures 58.9 mm × 45.4 mm × 27.7 mm. It is called the Cullinan I because it’s the largest of the 9 large stones cut from the Cullinan Diamond which was 3106 carats in weight. The Cullinan Diamond was named after Thomas Cullinan (later Sir Thomas) who was a South African businessman. Estimated value of Cullinan I is over $400 million.
1. The Golden Jubilee
The Golden Jubilee is the largest diamond of the world so far and its weight is 545.67 carats (109.13 g). This large brown Golden Jubilee was discovered in 1985 in a premier mine in South Africa with the original total rough shape weight of 755.5 carats (151 g) which was later reshaped and resized. The first name of the Golden Jubilee was Unnamed Brown. The Golden Jubilee was names by King Bhumibol Adulyadej and was given to him in honor of his 50th coronation anniversary. Estimated value of the Golden Jubilee is $8-$12 million and currently is the Biggest Diamond of the world.
